GL-4 VS GL-5 — WHICH GEAR OIL?
Check your vehicle manual for both the API GL level and the viscosity grade.
Moderate EP protection for manual gearboxes and transmissions, including those with yellow-metal (brass) synchronisers. GEAR GUARD EP-90.
Higher EP protection for hypoid differentials and heavily loaded axles. GEAR GUARD EP-140 and GEAR PRO+.
80W-90 / EP-90 suits most gearboxes and differentials; 85W-140 / EP-140 is thicker for heavy loads and hot running.
